"Just follow your heart and you will find peace in life." - Among Savages
I had a good night's sleep and woke up this morning pain free to lots of glorious sunshine. I tell ya, there's nothing like some sunshine first thing in the morning to brighten up your whole day! This is especially true after the cloudy, dreary day we had yesterday.
As you can see, I broke down and purchased the Constant Salutations top. I wanted to get it in a medium, but they were sold out of them online and at my store. I decided to take a chance and order a small. It's definitely fitted, but I think it looks nice. Jerry approved. I noticed in these pictures that the dye from my jeans has really bled onto my Frye boots from crossing my legs at work. I took some hairspray and a dry cloth to them the other night while watching TV. It seems to have done the trick. I was really freaking out that my Frye's were ruined for life. I need those suckers to last many more years to justify their cost.
House hunting is still going strong. So far, we've found 2 possibilites, both very different from each other. One is new, updated, and ready to move into. The downside is it's a little smaller than we would like. The other one is old and needs lots of updates. However, it has more character, tons of space, and hardwood floors throughout. Oh, and it has stairs...my kids really want stairs. It even has a laundry chute! I want to live there just for that! Still, I don't know if I want to take on another big home improvement project. I already did that with my last 2 houses. I know how expensive and time consuming it can be. Both of these contenders are in the city, but we are suppose to look at a country house this weekend. I'm really excited about that one.
Even after weighing all the pros and cons, I think, just like all important decisions in life, we will end up going with our hearts. It's worked pretty good for us so far. Maybe the right house is still out there, waiting for us to find it, so we're not going to rush this. It took us awhile to find each other, so it might take us awhile to find our home. I'm hopeful, though, because with the dawn of each new day, comes even more possibilites.
Bonnie if I were you I would take that top back and exchange it. It is way too small for you. Good luck with the house hunting.
ReplyDeleteLove the 2nd and the last picture . You look like you were having fun
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit and the top is super cute and fits you great! I LOVE the jacket with it, as well. The 2nd pic, with you smiling so big, makes me smile.... you look beautiful with a huge smile on your face! xoxo
ReplyDeleteCan you link to those exact jeggings?
ReplyDeleteI really like them!
I adore the second picture!! You look radiant! The blouse is certainly NOT too small. It's fits well in all the right places and is very flattering.
ReplyDeleteThink this is a great top. Don't return, just be carefull with it and make sure that it does not shrink in the laundry.
ReplyDeleteHannie
The second photo is my favorite because it looks like it was caught at just the right moment-you look so happy. Best of luck with the house hunting! It was reassuring to read that with each day comes new possibilities.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't disagree with you more! I think it looks perfect. Extra fabric makes people look bulky. Bonnie, this outfit is perfect. It's fitted and elongates your torso and the whole ensemble is chic and perfectly in proportion. Stacey London would be so proud! : ) You look happy and it it's nice to see you smiling.
ReplyDeleteI added a link.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I was!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sherry! I decided to throw in a smiling pic for a change.
ReplyDeleteThe top is fine! You have a great smile. It is nice seeing you look happy.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I didn't think it was too small either. It's so funny to me. When I wear things that are tight, some people say they are too small, but when I wear things that are loose, some people say I look frumpy. This is why I just go with my own opinion. However, it's good to know there are people out there who see things the way I do!
ReplyDeleteI don't put any of my clothes in the dryer except pajamas. I will lay this flat to dry, so I think that should keep it in good condition. You're right, I wouldn't want it to shrink any. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks! The smiley photos are always really popular, but I have a rebellious nature and tend not to smile in photos if I can help it. Jerry just happen to catch me acting silly.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Way too small for me? Thanks for your opinion, but I disagree. Ain't nothing wrong with showing off the curves! LOL!
ReplyDeleteYay! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteLove the second picture. You have a great smile! Good luck house hunting :)
ReplyDeleteI will not put this top in the dryer.
ReplyDeleteI will not put this top in the dryer.
I will not put this top in the dryer.
I will not put this top in the dryer.
I will not put this top in the dryer.
I will not put this top in the dryer.
I try. I really do.
Your outfit looks great and the top is not too small, it should be fitted. Good luck finding your new home this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI agree that it's much too small. It's important to know when things don't fit well and don't look flattering as a result.
ReplyDeleteHey Bonnie! I am sorry you have had a rough go with the anxiety issues of late. Hang in there, girlie! I hope you are doing better. Winter is always hard for a lot of us. I hope the better days become more frequent. Try some yoga maybe or some kind of physical outlet for all of it. That has always helped me!
ReplyDeleteNow onto the outift- this is by far my FAVORITE jacket that you have ever posted pics of! I LOVE it! Completely jealous and wishing I had one! :) That second pic of you smiling with your entire soul is just awesome. Channel that, my friend, and you'll be all good.
I absolutely agree! I think it's a great fit! The wrappy/ruchy bit, and the detailed print makes it very flattering and disguises any lumps and bumps anyway! It looks gorgeous on you Bonnie! I wish I'd ordered this one. Of course if you decide to sell it, I'm putting first dibs in!! LOL
ReplyDeleteOr if you do, send it my way!! :D
ReplyDeleteHey, when you reviewed this top a couple of weeks ago, I ran out and bought it immediately. I love it, and the shirt is designed to help one look va-va-voom. You look great, and so do I. Thanks for your review and inspiration
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Catherine.
ReplyDeleteI love this jacket too! It's an Anthro purchase from 2005. It goes with everything!
Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Someone told me I have pretty teeth today. I guess I should show 'em off more.
