Rainy Friday

"I'll be the fire escape that's bolted to the ancient brick where you will sit and contemplate your day." - The Postal Service

It was a good day. Of course, Friday's always have a way of doing that. It was rainy, but I didn't mind it so much. I spent the day in front of my computer working on different things and listening to my favorite music. I've got a plan for my EA blog post. I know what I'm going to write about, and I have a concept for my photo shoot. Now, I just need to decide what I'm going to wear. I'm having a really hard time. I can't decide which direction I want to go in - a natural bohemian vibe or a retro vibe. Right now, I'm leaning retro. Maybe a little Time Gone By Dress action. Hmm...I don't know. I guess I'll try on some things tomorrow and make my decision. I'm really excited about the whole thing!

I have such a bad headache right now! I'm not eating very much. I still don't have my appetite back fully. As a result, I've lost a few more pounds. I usually weigh around 135. I weighed myself this morning and the scale said 128. Wow, 10 more pounds and I'll be back to my college weight. I don't want to lose anymore, though. I can't afford to buy all new clothes. I tell ya, the quickest way to lose weight is anxiety, but it's not worth what you have to go through.

Since it was such a rainy, messy day, I kept things pretty casual. I'm wearing the Loop De Loop Henley with an Urban Outfitters Cardigan, jeggings, and my Frye boots. Oh, and to keep my head warm and dry, I wore the "dreaded hat." This time I wore the hat with my hair down. My husband didn't make any comments, so either he likes it better with my hair down or he's learned to keep his mouth shut. LOL!

Today's song is "Brand New Colony" by The Postal Service. This band was a little side project for my man from Death Cab For Cutie, Ben Gibbard. I think this song is just so sweet! He's talking about all the metaphorical things he would like to be for the woman he loves. I really love how he wants to be the fire escape she sits on when contemplating her day. Such creative lyrics!

Well, tomorrow is my day to sleep in. I'm really looking forward to catching up on some sleep. I just hope I can stay asleep. I woke up last night at 3am. Not cool!

  1. Hey Bonnie! I hope you have fun weekend planned! You look adorbs - as usual! So - what is wrong with the hat? It is so cute!!! When I wear a hat my husband says I look like "Aunt Ida". (Any image that conjures up for you - like a "hillbilly" wearing an old lady dress and sensible shoes - would be accurate.) So I don't wear hats! DRAT I WANNA WEAR A HAT! :) Have a great weekend and have fun with your project. Cheers! xoxo

  3. Sherry: Aunt Ida, huh? LOL! Sounds like your husband is alot like mine. If he thinks I don't look good, he's not afraid to tell me. Men don't know anything. I'm sure you look great in hats! Wear a hat, lady!

Becca: They're great aren't they? Sorry I inspired you to make such an expensive purchase. I couldn't believe I spent so much money on boots myself, but I have to say they are so worth it!
