Since I haven't been to a store lately, and it doesn't look like I'm going to make it to one anytime soon, I thought I would share my current Anthropologie wish list. Fall is my favorite season and with it right around the corner, I have filled my wish list up with items inspired by the season. I hope to eventually acquire some of these items and incorporate them into my Fall wardrobe. I think they not only work well together, but work well with items already in my closet.
Number one on my list is these fringe boots. I've been wanting fringe boots for some time now but didn't want to go full out Pocahontas. I think these boots are the perfect mix of casual ease with a hint of Indian princess.
Lateral Fringe Boots ($248)
It seems like this dress has been on my wish list forever, first in the festive Summer print and now in this more Fall appropriate one. I can even see this transitioning well into Winter with a chunky cardigan, tights, and boots.
Flared Caraz Dress ($158)
I love a knit dress. They are just so easy and comfortable. I've been burned in the past for showing off my fupa in clingy, knit dresses, but I think this one might pass inspection by even the worst of critics. With it's ruching, gathering at the waist, and tulip skirt, it has the potential to hide all kinds of fashion "fupas" (Yes, grammar police I know it's suppose to be "faux pas." Just having fun with a little play on words). Also, I love this color for Fall.
Euchre Jersey Dress ($148)
I just can't resist a good muumuu or tent top. Ms. Roper is my idol. In addition to the flowiness factor, I love the print, and yes, I even love the bling. This top + Jeggings + Lateral Fringe Boots = Boho perfection.
Branched Copper Pullover ($118)
I've had some good luck finding wearable dresses at lower price points in the lounge wear section of Anthro over the past few months. I'm currently digging this space-dyed number. It looks super comfortable, and I think it could be a great staple piece to pair with a variety of boots, cardigans, and scarves.
Speaking of scarves, I've got just the one right here. Love the ruffles, love the color, love the hint of shimmer, and love the price!
Fritillary Ruffle Loop ($38)
I'm on the fence about whether to wear my Frye boots another season or not. They are really worse for wear. I need to have the pull strap fixed on one, the bottoms on both are worn very thin, and pigment from my jeans has discolored them in some places. Still, they're Frye's, and I hate to stop wearing them just because I've worn them. Those suckers are suppose to last forever. I might take them to a shoe repair shop and see what they can do. If that doesn't work out, I've got these on my wish list as a possible replacement.
Banded Riding Boots ($299)
Yeah, I know this is a sale item and old news, but I think it would be such a great layering piece for Fall, with leggings, boots, and sweaters, oh my!
Gilga Tank ($29.95)
Nothing says Fall like leaves, and I think the mint color of this necklace would coordinate well with the oranges and browns of the season.
Minted Layer Necklace ($48)
Last but not least is this cute corduroy cap. One of my favorite things about cooler weather is that I get to wear all kinds of hip hats. They instantly make you look cool even if you're not, and they are great for hiding your hair on bad hair days.

Bonnie, find a good cobbler and take your Fry boots to him/her. A good cobbler can work miracles in restoring well made shoes and boots. It will cost a bit, but a whole lot less that the new boots you are thinking about!

ReplyDeleteI thought there was some kind of Frye rehab service. I'd look into that. I am pretty sure you can have them cleaned up or repaired. Those are such an investment piece that if I were you, I'd get them fixed.
ReplyDeleteI agree, plus the leather on your Frye boots looks 100% times nicer than that cheap, cheap, cheap-looking leather on the boots you're considering.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestions on the Frye boots, guys! It's just the kick in the ass I needed to do something about them. I went to Frye's website and found the info on the Frye Refurbishing Center. I called and got case numbers and am sending my boots in to be reconditioned and repaired. The pair with the broken pull tab is still under warrant, so, hopefully, I get that taken care of for free. It's looking like it will be around $150 to get them both refurbished, which isn't cheap, but it cost less than buying a whole new pair of boots. I can't wait to see the results. They said it would take about 2 weeks. I'll keep you guys posted.
