"Sun turns the evening to rose, stars turning high up above, you turn me into somebody loved." - The Weepies

I was having a pretty mediocre day when we went out for this photo shoot. After spending the whole day at work in front of the computer, it was so nice to get out and take in the cool Fall air. We found this interesting wall with flaking paint to take pictures with, but it was in full sun. Photo boyfriend had me stand with the sun behind me. Now that the sun is lower in the sky during the evening hours, he was able to work with it. It cast a very pretty light in all these pictures. I love how it shines through my new crochet cardigan from Old Navy.

After dinner, photo boyfriend told me he wanted to show me something. He took my hand and led me outside. He explained to me how he likes to stand outside this time of year, look at the night sky, and reflect on his day. As we stood there taking it all in, I realized that I never take the time to do little things like this. I felt so peaceful and calm. I decided that I'm going to make a conscious effort to do more things like this from here on out. Once back inside, I was trying to decide what to watch on TV. I remembered that photo boyfriend has never seen the TV show Lost. It used to be my favorite show, so I suggested we watch it. He was skeptical at first, but after 3 episodes he was really into it. I can't wait to share the rest of the season with him.

It's so nice to share my interests with the person I love and have him share his interests with me. Life is so much richer now. Things as small as looking at the night sky and watching TV have become treasured moments. To love, be loved, and share my life with another - I couldn't ask for anything more.

  1. I like that you shared this. We all should stop and take a moment to be grateful for what we have in life and live it to it's fullest. :)
