Black Swan

"What is it, I don't remember, made my being so much better. If I could have just one pure thought." - Hot Chip

It was girls night out! I went out for dinner and a movie with 4 fabulous ladies. It was a night of good food, good conversation, and one disturbingly good movie. We saw Black Swan. It was weird, artistic, and creepy, so I pretty much loved it! LOL! It's one of those movies that gets in your mind and stays with you for awhile. On my drive home, I was thinking about the persona we present to people verses what really goes on in our heads. I definitely portray the white swan on the outside, but I have little bit a black swan on the inside. I have, how do I say this, "inappropriate thoughts." LOL! I hope this doesn't make me a bad person. I can't really help what pops into my head.

For movie night, I wanted to be comfy and cozy, so the Outdoor Cafe Cardigan was the obvious choice. Underneath, I'm wearing the Floral Frappe Tee. I finished things off with jeggins and my Frye Boots. Nothing earth shattering here, but a good outfit for a movie night. It was a beautiful, bright, and sunny day. I got the hubs to snap a few pictures before I left.

The song of the day is "One Pure Thought" by Hot Chip. I love this song. It makes we want to get up and dance and do something inappropriate! LOL! Have a good night!

  1. HI Bonnie,

You look super comfy and, of course, cute! Love the look - especially the green Floral Frappe Tee.

I am glad you got out with some GFs... that is always good for the soul and the spirits.

    Cheers!

  2. Cozy chic! I love that sweater in the more neutral color. I have it in bright pink and rarely reach for it...

  4. great outfit for a night at the movies!!! I saw "Black Swan" last weekend and really liked it too, Natalie was amazing in it!!! Someone I know described it as 'fight club for girls' and I thought it was so true

  5. Oh, I love the comfortable yet stylish look that you pulled together! And I have got to get the Floral Frappe shirt at some point! I loved the Black Swan - Natalie Portman was so amazing in it, I couldn't believe she was actually the same actress that had been in Star Wars! :)

  6. I loved your jeans and when I scrolled down to see who they were by, I was like jeggings? That is what jeggings look like? (I thought they would be like denim tights). So I went to AE today for the first time since I was 17 and bought 3 pairs of jeggings on clearance plus an additional 30% off. Thanks! and p.s. I'm glad you had lots of fun on your girls night out, too.

  7. Hey!
I just have a question that has been on my mind for a while now....

    How do you do it?
I mean, how do you spend so much money on clothes with children and a family?

I'm just curious! I wish I could do the same.

  8. Sherry: Thanks! It was good for my spirits!

Ady: Yeah, I love this sweater. It's so comfy and goes with everything. Maybe it will pop up on Ebay in this color?

lilmissmarch: LOL! These boots are the best thing I've bought in a long time. I love 'em!

Brianna: Yeah, I can see that - "Fight Club for girls."

Jen: Yeah, she was amazing in this movie. Star Wars wasn't one of her better roles. LOL!

crys: I'm so glad you were able to get some of these great jeggings and for a great deal too! I don't go in AE that much either, but I just happened to go in one day and was pleasantly surprised by these.

kayla: LOL! Well, I'm afraid I'm not the role model of how to handle finances. I've racked up quite a bit of credit card debt, so that's how I've been doing it. I've decided to not use credit cards anymore and stick to a monthly budget of $200. So, you will probably start seeing a lot less new things on me this year (I hope).
