Ok, so I realize that this post is about the same dress as yesterday's, but I'm in love with it, so your gonna have to endure yet another post! This time I've styled it and given it a proper photo shoot in order to show it off in all it's glory. I've been wanting to do a photo shoot with this column for a few weeks now. My photographer friend and I "discovered" this column when we did the shoot for the Laced With Grace Dress. The problem is that it sits in full sun pretty much the whole day. So, we had to wait until 4pm to take these shots, and naturally, I picked the coldest day of the year to do this. It was freezing, but strangely, I wasn't cold. The cold air was actually very energizing. Wierd, considering I hate cold weather. I knew this dress would look great with the column because the catalog it was featured in was all about statues and columns. I really love these photos! I was expecting a hot mess since it was the end of the day and this headband kinda made my head look like it was shaped like an egg. LOL! I think these shots may be my favorite ones yet. However, I am in love, so I guess I'm seeing the world through rose-colored glasses!

ReplyDeleteBonnie love the look
ReplyDeleteAlso love how you layered the cardigan on top. When i tried to do that the top of the dress got all wrinkly..you wear it well
That dress looks great on you! Stunning!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic with your hair pulled back!!
ReplyDeleteThat dress looks better on you than, the catalog shot. Its a classic and a staple for sure. So glad you got the right size, it was all worth it, because it looks so wonderful on you. Shifts are always in style! Life's simple pleasures, that put a smile on our face. That's how I felt when I finally got the Southern Chrous Dress, and I still do when ever I wear it or even see it hanging in my closet.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the 6th shot. Everything about it is a dream.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to be glowing in these pics--this dress really suits you!
ReplyDeleteI love how you pulled your hair up with this gorgeous dress b/c rather controlled hair brings out the unique personality of Snowy Egret Dress! Great photography as well~~
ReplyDeleteJin,
Gorgeous! The dress was well worth the wait and hassle, I'm so pleased for you. I've not seen anyone else in this except Dea. It flew off the EU site in no time and I'm not surprised based on how well it fits you and how vibrant the pattern looks IRL. The column was a genius idea with the ferns climbing up it :)
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain, it really sucks doing outdoor posts innew york right now as it is FREEZING out! Anyway, love this look...I like the cardi from the limited!
ReplyDeleteOh my -- what a stunning photograph. Truly lovely Bonnie! The backdrop really works nicely against the pattern in your dress. And I love your headband -- it works perfectly with the sleek and sophisticated hairstyle you're wearing here.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing in the dress!
Can you tell me if you experienced any shrinkage with the dress when you wash/dried it. I'm wondering if I should size up to allow for shrinkage since it is 100% cotton.
Any input would be helpful.
Thanks!
Linda: I've only worn it once, so I haven't cleaned it yet. However, I will get it dry cleaned. I'm too scared to wash any of my Anthro dresses. I'm notorious for messing up clothes in the wash. I have them all dry cleaned. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI visit your blog quite often and I really like it but this time I don`t know what to say (write) this dress, whole outfit, the environment, you, your beautiful eyes, and those pictures ... That is the most beautiful post I have seen lately. I am not surprised that you like those pictures too.
