The Itchy Jacket

It has been a busy day, and I am so exhausted! I cleaned my house, repotted all my plants with pansies, folded 3 loads of laundry, and went to the grocery store. It was in the 40's today, and my hands just about froze while I was potting plants. I really need to invest in some gardening gloves. At least, I don't have to plant any more flowers until the spring.

My husband and I went back to the "Forgotten Farm" to take some photos today. My dad has a lumber mill, so there were these logs on a trailer that I thought would look cool in a photo. The light was great out there. We had to roll our clocks back last night, so it gets dark really early now. Due to the time change, I will only be able to take photos like these on the weekends now. I'm gonna try to wake up early enough that my husband can take my outfit pics in the mornings before he leaves for work, but we will only be able to go as far as the front or back yard. Knowing me, though, I will probably not get up in time in which case I will have to go back to mirror shots. We shall see...

So, I'm wearing a jacket from Anthropologie that I got a couple of years ago. I think I've only worn it one time because it is pure wool and terribly itchy. It is lined everywhere except the sleeves and neck. I ratonalized with myself when I bought it that I would wear a long sleeve crew neck top underneath it. I have yet to find a top that I really like under it until today. I decided to try the Loosely Looped Tee underneath it since it has such a high neck and sleeves that are just slightly longer than the jacket. Perfection! I can finally wear my itchy jacket!

  5. I remember that jacket! I love the "ruffle" on it. I think that shirt under it is perfect. Not only does it keep the itching at bay, but the colors together look fresh.
