"I'd do it in an instant for gravy and biscuits." - Deer Tick
It's Monday, but I'm feeling fine. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the fact that I've got a short week at work. Jerry and I are driving to Richmond to see Iron and Wine on Thursday. It's amazing what the prospect of a little time off will do for the mind and soul. In my opinion, three days a week is the ideal amount of time we should all spend at work anyway, four at the most. Five is just too damn much. It zaps the life right out of me to have 5 straight days of work looming ahead of me on Monday mornings. Not to mention the fact that two days is not enough time to really enjoy the weekends. It usually takes me at least one weekend day to do all my household chores, so I really only get one day to relax. One day a week to relax does not a happy and productive employee make. Just sayin.'
Anyway, I really feel like I'm getting my groove back lately in more ways than one. I absolutely adore this outfit. It's one of my favorite ones ever. I know it's just a simple maxi dress, but I feel so comfortable, sexy, and at home in it. Yes, you read that right. I feel sexy in this dress. I admit it, even though I'm sure there are some that will classify this look as a "busted can of biscuits" Whatever... a few biscuits ain't never hurt nobody. Besides, I was super excited about the fit of this dress when I tried it on in the dressing room and Jerry concurred. Gone are the days when I question my opinion based on what others might think. My lady lumps and I jiggled right on up to the counter to buy this dress, but not before stopping by the accessories table to pick up this beautiful necklace. What's better than biscuits? Biscuits AND gravy...Mmm Hmm.

I love this too. It's simple, but looks perfect...and your mood reflects it...very calming, super pretty. I think you look amazing! Nice job with the greens, whites, greys in the photo background...just a wonderful, arty post.
