2012

Well, we've made it to the end of another year. Like so many other fashion bloggers, I usually mark the occasion by recapping some of my favorite outfits from the past 12 months, but this year I decided to do things a little bit differently. As I was looking back through my posts from this past year, I found myself focusing on the posts that had gotten the most views and comments. My viewership and participation have been down over the last couple of months, so I was curious to see what constituted a "popular post." I went through and picked out some of my most popular posts in 2012. Let's take a look, shall we?

So, what does all this mean? Hell if I know. I guess you can never tell what will constitute a popular post. I mean, clearly bad outfits, crudeness, and tragedy will bring all the peeps to the yard, but there were some good outfits and positive posts mixed in there too. I have hope for humanity, yet. As for me, I'm just going to keep doing my thing until I don't feel like doing it anymore. Looking at these stats, I really seem to be off my game lately. Maybe I'll get my mojo back in 2013. If not, I guess by this time next year, I'll be the only one left who reads this blog.

Happy New Year!

  2. Hi Bonnie! Thanks for sharing your blog; it's always fun to see your new outfits along with a dose of humor. We all need to be able to laugh at ourselves and not take things too seriously. Especially anonymous comments from strangers. This stranger would like to wish you and yours a Happy New Year! By the way, I hope you did frame that September picture! What a great capture.

  5. Happy New Year Bonnie! I've got to say that the cute outfits and beautiful outfits are the icing on the cake as to why I read your blog. I really come for your honesty, humor, and candor on everything you discuss. Most fashion blogs are about the clothes, I really feel that your blog is about you, and that's refreshing. I hope 2013 holds many beautiful moments for you and your family.

  7. Happy New Year Bonnie! I visit your blog daily but comment sparingly. Have enjoyed your blog and to me as an anthro employee you have the best anthro fashion sense (you do not look insane)! Hope you had a great one!

  10. Thanks, Kristin. One of the best things I've gained by doing this blog is your friendship. Even though we've never met, I feel like we really "get" each other. Your kind words and understanding have really lifted me up when I've been down. I'm glad I've been able to give back to you in some small way through this blog. I hope we get to meet in real life one day. I have no doubt we would be a force to be reckon with! Best wishes for your beautiful family as well!

  11. Thanks, Alana! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I appreciate you sticking with me. Here's to even more growth in 2013!

  12. I couldn't agree more, Lisa. Although, it's taken me awhile to be able to laugh at myself and not take the opinions of strangers so seriously. More than anything, this blog has helped me with that, so thanks, stranger! Unfortunately, I have not framed that picture. I'm really bad about framing pictures. We have so many good ones of the kids, animals, memorable moments, etc. all just sitting on the computer. I think I'll make it one of my resolutions this year to frame more pictures. I want to do a collage of pictures and frames going up the wall of my stairwell, like you see in a lot of older homes.

  14. Yeah don't worry about stupid stats. It's clear to me that people like drama, especially from you.
Although I haven't been reading any blogs lately I stop by yours and you sound so much more positive.
I also enjoy that you are real, and don't pretend that life is perfect. Although your stats may have been lower, I think you are growing as a person, and it shows on your posts.

  15. Aww, bless you! I feel the same way! And I do hope that our paths will cross-if ever life brings you toward Dallas/Fort Worth or I head East to visit the husband's homeland of Wilmington, I hope we can stage a full-on assault on Anthro and get to know each other in the flesh. FB and blogging are (for me), an introverted homebody, a great way for me to keep in touch and talk with people who are meaningful to me, and I lump you in with that crowd. Sending love and best wishes your way.
