Look on Down from the Bridge

"Everybody seems so far away from me. Everybody just wants to be free." - Mazzy Star

"Bridge: a structure built to span obstacles for the purpose of providing passage over the obstacle."

I am not taking an easy path in my life lately. There have been and will continue to be many obstacles in my way, but so far, for every obstacle there has been a bridge to guide me over it. However, I'm realisitic. I know there may come a point in the road where the bridge isn't sturdy, and I might fall, but I knew that when I started on this path, and I'm willing to take the risk to see where it leads me.

I would like to thank all of you for you positive and supportive comments on my posts lately. I know things have taken a serious turn around here, and I appreciate you sticking with me as I go through this. Of course, there have been some negative comments, and I expected that. I read those too and some of them have been very well written and made me think, so thank you for those as well. The few I've received that are just plain judgmental and name-calling, well, I don't appreciate those so much. LOL! I'm going to try to get back into responding to the comments the best I can. I've been really busy lately, and it's been all I can do just to get a post out here. Thanks for your patience.

  2. I am concerned that in all these recent postings I see a very depressed person reaching out, and that is never the best time nor way to make decisions. I would not recommend ditching your marriage because someone came along who made you feel alive. There are tons of people who can make you feel alive without threatening your marriage.

And, so many of your posts lately have been out of unhappiness ad depression, that this is one of the worst states you could possibly make decisions in. Best of luck to you, but eventually you'll find that the grass is not alway greener once the novelty with a new person wears off.

  3. Anon @ 12:09: Thanks! Can't really lose the knee highs without compromising the comfort of my legs.

    Mysterious M: Thank you!

Anon @ 1:12: I'm not depressed. I've been depressed before, so I know what true depression is. I'm a pretty smart person, so I've asked myself these same questions. Ultimately, it came down to following my heart. I'm immensely happy right now. I'm aware that it could all change one day. I can't live my life in "what if's." All I know is how I feel now. In my heart, I truly believe I'm following the right path. Thanks for your concern.

  4. I love your pics with the greenery and bridge. I'm so jealous of the greenery! I would love to walk outside and not see dirt, dirt and more dirt. Oh yeah, and there are some mountains covered in dirt (yes, I live not far from sand dunes..the ones they actually filmed Star Wars at) and we can see those in the distance. Luckily, there are a few crops that break it up a bit, but not as many pretty ones now that summer is practically here.
Anyway, I wanted to keep the comments light today as it's been a heavy week for you! I hope you have a great weekend and continue to find happiness!
