"He said it's crazy how love stays with me." - Grace Potter and the Nocturnals
I'd like to talk about unconditional love. It seems it's pretty scarce in my life and that makes me very sad. I always thought I had it. You just assume your family has got your back no matter what the circumstances. Well, I found out recently my family only has my back when I'm doing what they think I should do. It hurts so bad when the people you love turn on you. It's really ironic when the family member judging you has done the same thing in their life once before. You would think they would be more understanding, but nope, they are the main one against you and do their best to turn other family members against you as well. It amazing how self-righteous people become when you do something they don't agree with. I will never treat my kids this way. They will receive nothing but unconditional love from me. I don't care what they do, I will love them and support them no matter what. If they do something I don't agree with, I will let them know I don't agree, but I will not judge them for wanting to live their life differently.
Ok, enough of the serious talk. Let's talk about my outfit today. It was in the 80's for most of the day, so I dressed lightly. I've worn the Laced with Grace Dress in the Fall and Winter, so I was anxious to style it for Spring. I went pretty simple with the styling - silver jewelry and metallic silver sandals. A storm rolled through this afternoon and the temperature dropped dramatically. I was freezing while taking these pictures.
Today's song is brought to you by another Grace. It's "Apologies" by Grace Potter and The Nocturnals. I saw them in concert last year. It was a really awesome concert, and she has an amazing voice.
I saw Anthro had a sale today. Thank goodness nothing tempted me! I really want the Dawning Day Dress, but I'm going to hold out for a second cut. Did you guys pick up anything? Well, I'm gonna try to get these kids to bed. I'm exhausted from doing 1st grade homework. LOL! Have a great night!

You look so pretty - and you don't look cold at all. That dress is gorgeous on you - etherial. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteSUch a beautiful look...especially love the metalic touches in the shoes and jewelry...perfect!
ReplyDeleteBonnie - sorry to hear you are having family challenges, they always seem to be the most difficult for me as well. The only thing you can is talk it out and hopefully things will be repaired. Sending good vibes your way.
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing as always - the light was great in these photos. I know what you mean about being judged - sometimes, the ones who are judging are ones who have been in the same boat - they're like ex-smokers, or successful dieters - so much preachy-er than regular so-and-so's. Sorry you're going through a tough time. Hope today is a good one!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that life is bringing you down. I think we all know how that can be! :( But, you look lovely and the dress is so pretty. Hope you have a better day today.
ReplyDeleteSorry you are having a difficult time. I hope you can find the courage to let this one go.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is simplicity in itself. So absolutely perfect for you.
