Black and Brown

I'm feeling better today, so maybe I will manage to type more than a few sentences tonight. It was a beautiful day. Sunny and in the 60's. This kind of weather always helps lift my spirits. I'm making an effort to get out of the office in the middle of the day now. I sat in my car with the windows down and ate my lunch today. It was nice. I listened to music and closed my eyes and enjoyed the cool breeze blowing on my face.

I'm loving these longer days. I was able to take my outfit photos outside again today. You notice that Bradford Pear blooming in the background? Oh yeah, spring is just around the corner! It has seemed like this winter has lasted forever. I'm so ready for the warmer temperatures. Of course, when it gets really hot, I'm sure I'll be complaining that I'm ready for colder weather. Never satisfied!

I had a really hard time getting dressed this morning. First I put on my Vappu Dress. Too big. Then my Snowy Egret Dress. Again, too big. I ended up going with this dress from The Limited that had been a little on the tight size when I purchased it. Well, it fits much better now. This dress is short sleeve, so I needed to come up with a sweater to put over it. I decided on my trusty black shrug. To break up the skirt portion from the blouse portion of this dress, I added my black bird belt. People always comment when I wear black and brown together that they had never thought of combining those two colors. I love wearing black with brown or brown with black or however you want to look at it. LOL!

Today's song is "Caring is Creepy" by The Shins. I've always loved this song, but never really knew the lyrics until tonight. I have a hard time understanding the lyrics in most songs by The Shins. I'm not sure why, but I don't think I'm the only one. I've heard friends complain of the same thing especially when they saw them in concert. Anyway, I still love them, and once I looked up the lyrics of this song, it made me love this song even more.

I know I keep saying I'm going to announce the details of my contest. I'm sorry I haven't gotten around to it yet. I plan on announcing it on Friday. So, now you have another reason to look forward to Friday. Have a great night!
