I had the day off. No husband, no kids, just me. So, what do I do? Well, go to Anthropologie, of course. It was a beautiful day. I had a wonderful, relaxing drive, and I enjoyed my time at Anthro. It seemed like I took a ton of stuff back to the dressing room, but I don't really have that many pictures to show for it. I'll post all my reviews tomorrow. Thankfully, there weren't many things that tempted me. In true form, I did end up spending my entire January budget. Gosh, I'm not getting off to a good start am I? Well, at least I didn't use a credit card, and I did get most of it on sale plus 25% off (last day for 25% off). So, the way I look at it I got more bang for my buck. It's gonna hurt waiting until February to buy anything else, though.
I'm wearing my Calderbrook Blouse today. I just love this blouse, and I think it looks great with my new shoes, the Raines Heels. I love Seychelles shoes, and these are no exception. This is my first time wearing them. I was on my feet all day, and they were super comfortable. I have a really cute "accessory" in my outfit photos today. My little girl is still not feeling well. She went to the doctor this morning, and we found out she has a ear infection in both ears. Poor baby! She is constantly saying, "Hold me, mommy." So, you get two for the price of one today. LOL!
I'm trying something new. I'm just as passionate about music as I am clothes, so I thought I would start incorporating a song of the day into my blog post. I did alot of driving today, and I fell in love with this album. I find that the quickest way to fall in love with an album is to drive to it. I love looking at all the beautiful scenery while listening to some great music. The album is "Sigh No More" by Mumford and Sons. My favorite song opens the album and is the title track. I'm a huge fan of Shakespeare, and this song is inspired by Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. "Love it will not betray you, dismay or enslave you / It will set you free / Be more like the man you were made to be."
Your daughter is adorable. Sounds like a nice day.
ReplyDeleteyour poor baby. I think you cheered her up a bit with the fun pictures! I saw that shirt the other day and it really caught my eye, now seeing it on you I really want it!! Oh boy, you will just have to stay out of the store until Feb. I'm sad the 25% is over! I wonder if there will be new markdowns tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteLove the pics of mommy and her baby girl. It warms my heart. And you're rocking that top and those Raines Heels. I am a fan of Seychelles shoes too, they truly are super comfy.
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteJust a short note to tell how I enjoy reading your blog: the pictures are very inspiring, not to mention how beautiful you are! And and and: we are wearing the same size and share the same passion for Anthropologie, so I find it very cool.
You also have a super cute little girl :)
Continue your great work,
Sandrine
What a treat to be able to head out all on your own to Anthro...I always feel like it's Christmas when I manage to get there on my own! Hope your little one is feeling better soon...she is so adorable!! =)
ReplyDeleteAwww, your poor little girl. She looks like she needs to be comforted. These are such tender pictures.
ReplyDeleteTsk tsk for spending your January budget already...ah well, we all can't be perfect and I'm sure you'll have a lot of goodies to show us!
Sounds like you had a great day, and those shoes are fantastic! I'm a Seychelles addict, too. In act I have a pair arriving today!
ReplyDeleteI hope your daughter feels better soon. Ear infections are so hard on the little ones.
And I love the song of the day. I heard Mumford and Sons a while back, loved them, and then kind of forgot about them. Thanks for the reminder!
Aw, your daughter is just precious. Hope she feels better soon! Love that you are sharing your musical interests with us. I have heard a lot about M&S but have only heard one song, "Little Lion Man" (which I think is their most popular?) I will have to check out the rest of that album, esp. if that song is inspired by Shakespeare! Hello...High school English teacher here! :) Can't wait to see your fitting room reviews, and glad you had a nice day off. I love going shopping by myself. I take off to Asheville whenever I can; unfortunately my nearest Anthro is in Charlotte (not as easy to get to!)
ReplyDeleteYour little girl is beautiful! I hope she is feeling much better today. Hooray for getting to Anthro alone, and looking so cute for your day of shopping! I have those shoes in the olive color and I adore them!
ReplyDeletei love that look on you and the pictures of you with her are too sweet!
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is adorable! Love the OOTD too!
ReplyDeleteI too am trying to clamp down on extraneous spending this year and use what I have in my closet. I think I really have to stay out of the stores and off the anthro website to achieve this. It is just too tempting to buy something otherwise.
I'd love to see posts where you utilize stuff in your closet!
Love your pics. Hope the little girl is feeling better. I like how she is looking pensive and sad in the first two pictures then finally ending with a naughty smile in her last picture! Speaking of Anthro, I started the year wrong. Caved in on the Bedecked Trousers which went on sale today. Bad, bad girl.
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie
ReplyDeletehope you got some good deals! Your little one is so sweet! Hope she feels better soon.
