Cream Confection on a Blustery Day

I've had such a bad day! I made a stupid mistake at work, and then I went to lunch and spilled chicken and pastry all over my lap. So, I paid $7 to wear my lunch, and I've been starving all day. I got home and my boys homework took forever to do. It's 9pm, and I'm just now sitting down to type this. I sure hope tomorrow is better!

It was down right cold here today - coldest day of Fall so far. There was a blustery wind that chilled me to the bone. The wind made it difficult to take these pictures due to the fact that my eyes were watering like crazy. I'm wearing the Cream Confection Jacket for the first time! I'm so glad I got this jacket as I can see me getting alot of use out of it over the next few months.

I spent my $50 dollars for the week at the Anthro sale this morning. Imagine that! LOL! The Slanted Plaid Blouse has been on my wishlist for awhile now, so it seemed meant to be since it was on sale for the magic number of $50. I'm seriously considering taking your advice and joining in on the 30 for 30 challenge. I just don't know if I have enough self control not to buy anything for a month. Sad, but true. Have a great night!

  1. Honestly, I can't tell your eyes are watering. I truly think you will have a much better day tomorrow.

I love the Cream Confection in this color. Thank you for allowing me to live vicariously through your lovely photos. It was 85° in my neck of the woods. I still haven't worn my coat in the Cream color.

  2. Man! Your day sounds awful! Tomorrow will definitely be better. :)
I sat this sale out. I was going to wait until Thursday to order the Highest Accolades dress, but it is already gone. I am weird in that I wait a couple of days before I buy something on sale so that I can make sure I want it and am not wearing "sale goggles". I am chalking this dress up as "not meant to be" now.

Sorry about your day. I guess it must be better now that you bought something from Anthro!

  5. Kelly - Kendi at Kendi Everyday is starting a new 30 for 30 challenge on Monday 8th whereby you remix 30 pieces from your wardrobe for 30 days (and don't shop!). Check it out!

Bonnie I love your coat, if I ever get my hands on it I'll be a happy girl. It's £148 here so I am very definitely waiting for sale.

You look lovely as always! When you say cold, how cold are we talking? I work in degrees celcius I think... I know it was 4 degrees one evening last week when I went to running club! It was like sucking in shards of broken glass, my lungs were not amused!

  6. Anthro sales kill me, too, I want a cardi from this current crop of reductions but have to wait for my bank acct. to match my desire. LOL.

Just found your blog through Peggy, and I have to say, I love it! You are a mom, a fashion blogger, and in your thirties...I think we have a few things in common! Definitely following you now!

I hope today is better than yesterday...it is hard to have a rough Tuesday...

  7. Love the Cream Confection Jacket on you! I was lucky enough to find this in my size on a "pop back" last week.
I've been looking at your blog for a while now, but have never commented before....sorry! I love seeing your beautiful outfits and beautiful photos!! You're so lucky to have a photographer husband...my hubby would just laugh at me if I asked him to take photos of my outfits!
I'm new to the blogging world...in fact I just made a post about my new Cream Confection Jacket if you want to check it out.
