OOTD: Violet Gloaming

Happy Sale Day! I was very bad today and ordered a couple of things. I got the Curlytop Cardigan in ivory and the Perennial Plot Shirt in brown. Antho, why oh why must you do this to my bank account? LOL! Did you guys get anything at the sale today?

In the past, I've been posting in the mornings, but I think I'm gonna switch things up for a little while and start posting in the afternoons. This way my husband can take my outfit shots when we get home from work. Of course, this means that my outfits will probably be wrinkled and such from a hard day's work, but I guess this way you can see how they hold up. I don't know how long I'll be able to do this since it is starting to get dark earlier and earlier, but I will do it as long as I can. I prefer these outside shots to the boring, dark photos in my bedroom.

Today, I'm wearing a recent sale purchase, the Violet Gloaming Dress. I loved this dress when I first saw it in the catalog, but the price was outrageous! As a general rule, I love anything with trees on it, so I've been patiently waiting for this one to go on sale. I thought about waiting to see if it got a 2nd cut, but the sizes started dwindling online, so I decided to go ahead and get it. I got a size 8 and it fits perfectly. So, this dress runs true to size. My shoes are the Seychelles Apple a Day Pumps. I got these on sale for $30. The heel is much higher than what I normally wear, so I've been struggling to walk in these all day. Also, it doesn't help that I have blisters from walking so much at the concert Sunday. They are super cute though, so they are worth the pain!

Random observation: I think it's cool how the background in some of the pictures kinda looks like the picture on the dress. Have a great night!

  1. I have the apple a day pumps in the cream and I love it. I love this color too! What a cute outfit today.

I've also thought about doing my posts at night as well but haven't started doing that yet in fear that my outfits will also look like a wrinkled mess!
