OMG! This day has been crazy. It is 3pm, and I am just now eating lunch. The morning started early since it was my kids first day of school - that went well even though there were some crazy moments. Once I got to work, my phone started ringing off the hook with random request from people. I've been so busy! I can't wait to pick my boys up this afternoon so I can see how their first day went. So, today I'm wearing a dress and sweater I picked up on sale last week at Anthro. They had one Vappu Dress left at my store and it was a size 6. I usually wear a 8, but I thought it was worth a try. Well, what do you know? It fit great! I threw the Roaming Frills cardigan over it in grey, and I had an outfit from Anthro for $100! I was so busy with "back to school" this morning that I didn't have time to take my usual pics, so my friend, Stephanie, took some pictures of me at work. Thanks Stephanie! I did manage to wrestle my boys down for one pic with me this morning, so I have included that one as well. I ordered the Circle the Globe skirt in navy yesterday, but I received a cancellation notice today. :-( Oh well, I guess it wasn't meant to be. One other thing - I LOVE Ruche's new fall lookbook! There are so many things I want! It's driving me crazy! LOL!
Dress: Anthropologie Vappu Dress ($50)
Sweater: Anthropologie Roaming Frills Cardigan ($50)
Belt: Anthropologie Looping Lanes Belt ($44)
Shoes: Pink Studio Bonnie Peep Toe Pumps ($88)
Lovely outfit! It's 8.35pm here, I should probably get some dinner!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering, do your work colleagues know about your blog and share your enthusiasm for all things Anthro?
You look really great!!!
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is perfect on you and the dress fits wonderfully!
We are dress twins today :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute outfit....and can't beat the price for those great items! Sorry about the Circle the Globe skirt....I thought about trying to grab one but decided to pass...sounds like it would have been a witch hunt anyways! Hope your boys have a great first day!!
ReplyDeleteLouise: My girls at work love fashion just as much as I do, and Anthro is one of their favorite stores. However, they are not as obsessed with it as I am! LOL! We have great times talking about fashion! It makes work much more fun!
ReplyDeleteAdy: Thanks! I lucked out finding these in my size at my store!
Sara: I saw that! You look great today! The cardigan you have on has been on my wishlist for awhile. I wish it would go on sale already!
Jenni: Thanks! Yeah, it's weird because the website showed plenty of sizes available yesterday and now it is no longer on the website at all. Must have been a glitch or something.
Yay, I'm glad you were able to get your Vappu dress! It looks so cute on you paired with that cardigan. And how adorable are your boys in their back to school clothes and backpacks! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear you were able to snag that dress. It looks great with that cardigan. Bummer about the skirt. I've actually read a couple people say something similar about cancellations. What gives!?
ReplyDeleteI love how you styled this outfit Bonnie! I ended up not getting the Vappu, but I'm wondering if I should have. I'm see so many bloggers wearing it so frequently. Seems like it's a truly versatile dress.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the new graphic you're using for your header!
Oh, so cute!! I bought the Vappu with the Looping Lanes belt, too! Sadly, the dress didn't work on me - the buttons totally pulled at the bust, and sizing up made the dress uncute. I wanted it to work so badly!! Kept the belt, though!!
ReplyDeletePS: Can you tell me what boots you're wearing in your header? CUTE!
Debbie: I'm glad I got it too and at such a great price! Thanks!
ReplyDeletePamela: Yeah, I hate it when they send cancellations like that! I had already started planning outfits in my head!
Jamie: Thanks! I highly recommend this dress!
JanAlysssa: Sorry this dress didn't work for you. I have the button pulling problem alot, but this dress didn't do that on me. My boots are the Paige Tall Riding Boots from Frye. I did a review on them last week: http://stfashionista.blogspot.com/2010/08/frolicking-on-farm-in-my-fryes.html
