Anthropologie Trip

Oh, I'm so exhausted! I'm definitely gonna need to go back to Anthro again this week, because today's shopping trip was brutal. The A.C. was broken in the store, and it was so hot in there. I didn't dare try on anything long sleeve or I think I would have passed out from heat exhaustion. Also, as luck would have it, my phone died after only taking a few pictures. I did walk away with some pretty things, though! I'm so tired I'm just gonna post pictures and brief descriptions of what I didn't get and what I did get. First up, what I didn't get.

Perilla Dress. I'd tried this on before and planned on getting it when it went on sale, but it's so late in the summer now, I decided I rather spend my money on things I can wear into the fall.
Rainy Rosettes Top. I kinda liked this. It was very flattering on my figure, but I just didn't like the asymmetrical thing happening in the front.
Faint Lines Tee. I hated this color on me but loved the fit. If they would have had it in purple, I would have gotten it.
Frothy Top. Looked like a maternity top on me. Comfortable, but not flattering.
Due East Scoopneck. I really wanted to like this top because the belt is soooo pretty. But it was just too sheer and a little ill fitting. :-(
This is the first of only 2 new arrivals I got pictures of. My phone died after these two shots.
Sugar and Cream Dress and Violet Gloaming Dress. Neither of these really wowed me. The Sugar and Cream Dress was too big for me in a size 8, but I didn't bother trying it in a 6 because I didn't like it enough. I would consider the Violet Gloaming Dress come sale time, but not at full price.

Ok, so what did I get?

Lily of the Valley Blouse. There was only 1 left in the sale room and it was my size. The button was missing from it, so I got 10% off the sale price. There was a extra button that came with it, so all I have to do is sew it on. It just seemed meant to be. I will need to wear a cami under this, but that's not a problem, and I can wear a cardigan over it in the Fall. Love it!

Interrupted Ruffles Tank. This one surprised me! I didn't think it would be flattering on me because of all the ruffles, but it was! Also, I love the color!

Approaching Dusk Necklace. Couldn't pass up this pretty necklace for only $19.99!

Lastly, I saw a Pessinus Garden Necklace on one of the manequinns, so I put it on hold. I'm going to go back and get it tomorrow. I'm really excited about it, because I didn't think there were any of those left.

More to come...

  4. i bought the faint lines tee in yellow, earlier this summer online...and i thought i liked it, but both my boyfriend and my mother said the color was horrible on me. so i just ordered it in navy the other day when it went on sale, hopefully that color will be better!
