Anthro Trip #3 (It's a sickness I tell ya!)

So, I made my 3rd and final trip to Anthro this afternoon. It was raining, and something about the rain got me in the mood to finally try on some sweaters. I am allergic to wool, so that really limits the amount of sweaters I can try on, but I did find a few as well as some other pretties. I also picked up a little something for the contest I plan on having once I hit 50 followers. So, stay tuned for that!

Tambour Blouse. The store didn't have a size 8, so I tried this in a 6. It fit like a glove. This blouse is really pretty! The zipper was a little tricky. It kept getting stuck, but I finally got it zipped. Wishlisted.

Dimpled Cardigan. This felt like it had some wool in it, because I got the itchies, but it wasn't unbearable. This is a size medium and it fit good, but I didn't care for the bulkiness of it. Just not flattering on me.

Curlytop Cardigan. I loved this sweater. It wasn't itchy, the fit was flattering, it has beautiful details, and the color is gorgeous. This is a size medium. Wishlisted.
Midnight's Spring Cardigan. I just noticed that I tried on alot of light blue. Sorry I didn't mix it up more with the color. I liked this sweater too. This is a medium and it fit good. This sweater was very soft and cozy, and I like the crossover thing it does in the back. Wishlisted.
Fractional Jacket. This was a odd little jacket on me. I didn't like the ruffles only being at the bottom on one side. It looks like I missed a button or something. This is a size 8.
Magnifying Glass Dress. I had to go up to a size 10 in this dress to accomadate the "girls." I liked it, but I didn't love it.
Foremost Dress. I knew I wouldn't like this dress because I don't like neon colors, and the belt on this dress is neon green. I decided to try it on anyway for you guys. This is a size medium and it fit pretty good. I think I could size down to a small for a more fitted look, but I kinda liked this dress with a more relaxed fit. The belt killed it for me. It has hook and eye closure, and I had to struggle with it to get it undone and redone. I like the bow, but the color is hideous.

Babergh Dress. This is a really pretty dress, but it's a little too fancy for my taste. I tried it on because I know there is alot of you out there that fell in love with this dress in the catalog shot. This is a size 8. I had to struggle with the zipper. I took a shot of the zipper from the side. This is where it got really difficult, but I did end up zipping it all the way. It was tight, but not uncomfortably so. I think this dress is meant to be fitted, so I don't think I would need to size up to a 10, but if I was really interesting in buying it, I think I would have tried a 10 just too see the difference. If your wide around the rib cage area, you definitely want to size up in this dress.

To A Point Top. It doesn't look so great in the picture, but I kinda liked this top in person. This is a size medium. I thought it was a bit pricey for what it is, though. So, I will consider this come sale time.
Lincolnshire Skirt. This baby runs big! This is a size 8, and the waist was way too big. I didn't bother trying a size 6, because the skirt was itchy. It must have some wool in it. I love the pattern and the bow on the front, though. Definitely size down in this one.

  1. Thanks so much for reviewing the Babergh dress. The shades of ivory look amazing on you!

And the Curlytop cardigan is so cute. I think it actually works nicely with the red shirt you were already wearing -- the red really showcases the paisley cutouts. Very nice!

  3. Tell me, how did the skirt portion of the Babergh fit? Did you have room to move, or was it super tight? That's my concern...Thanks!

  6. Hi Bonnie, I'm a new reader and a follower now. :) I think you and I have similar body types so your reviews are super helpful to me. I think I'm going to have the same issues with the Babergh Dress. I also like that you do a variety of OOTDs...with slacks, jeans, skirts and dresses. Love it!

  7. I really like the curlytop cardigan, must wishlist it now! I have the same wool problem, not sure if it's an allergy, but I have extremely sensitive skin and cannot have direct contact with wool.

  8. Thank you for all of your reviews. Two questions about the Babergh: it looks a little short-waisted, is that the case? Also, does it have a wide scoop neck (I'm really hoping it is not a wide scoop neck). Love the catalog shot but am wondering about the dress in reality!

And yes, I would also be interested to know the fit through the hips! Thank you

  9. Ladies, I'm so glad so many of you enojyed the reviews! I am suppose to get out of class early today. 2:00 instead of 3:00. So, I'm going to go back to Anthro before I leave and try on the Babergh dress again in size 8 and also in size 10. Since, I will not get home until very late tonight, I will post back first thing in the morning with a very detailed review of the dress.
