Wise Up

"It's not going to stop 'til you wise up." - Aimee Mann

I've had a very productive weekend. I cleaned my house, organized my closet, and finally planted those flowers. I'm feeling very proud of myself. I relaxed this afternoon with my boys by taking them to a movie. We saw Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2. It was really cute and my boys enjoyed it. When we got home, I got my husband to take some outfit pictures. I threw in a picture where I'm smiling with teeth! Gasp! I know how you guys like the teethy smiles. I also included one with one of the window boxes I planted today. Check the gardening skills, yo. LOL! Sorry, I'm in a very silly mood tonight.

I'm wearing the Mellifluous Gathers Tee. I love, love, love the color of this top. I'm most excited about my new accessory. He's a handsome fellow and such a hoot! I picked up this owl necklace on Friday when I was shopping for my friends birthday present. I do love me some owls.

I wore my bangs down today, but I brushed them aside for some of these photos since there was a breeze blowing. It was a nice breeze, not like the crazy wind we had yesterday. I'm standing in what will be our garden in a couple of weeks. My dad is suppose to plow it this week, so I thought today would be a good time to take one last set of pictures in the weeds. The sun was hitting them so pretty this afternoon, casting a golden-yellow glow.

Today's song is "Wise Up" by Aimee Mann. I love Aimee. I've seen her in concert a couple of times. This is one of my favorites. For me this song is about accepting the fact that when something is not good for you, you need to wise up and do what needs to be done to change your circumstances which in most cases includes giving up something.

Well, it's time for Monday again. I'm looking forward to this one for some strange reason. I'm feeling good about this work week. Attitude is everything right? Have a great night!

  1. Oh Bonnie, i love that window boxes! How did you do it? I mean, it seems to be lined with some hay-like stuff. Are the flowers planted in soil, or you do have little pots for them?
I always love window boxes, but as I stay in an apartment, and we are not suppose to plant stuff outside the windows (for fear of things dropping and hitting people, yes it has happened before in Singapore). The only way I can do is to have window boxes on the inside of windows. Is this possible based on your gardening experience?
Looking forward to see your garden soon. When can that be ready?
By the way, love the simple but romantic willowly look of your OOTD.
