"And the silence, it became so very clear that you had long ago disappeared. I cursed myself for being surprised that this didn't play like it did in my mind." - Death Cab For Cutie
It's the middle of the night and it's like a Hurricane outside. I can't believe this crazy wind. From the sound of it, there is definitely going to be some damage out there in the morning. It's a great contrast to the sunny, warm day we had. It was a long Monday. I came home and crashed, but I'm feeling wide awake now at 4am.
I'm wearing the Pezza dress again. I love this dress so much. The color is just awesome. This time I wore a crocheted shrug with it and my new Rocket Dog floral heels. I got so many compliments on these shoes today. Even the daycare worker commented on them when I picked my kids up.
Taking these pictures was very challenging to say the least. The wind had already started to blow like crazy. My hair was all over the place as was the dress. I decided to take the pictures next to a wall of my house as to try and block the wind some. Also, my Lady Banks Rose is blooming so pretty right now, and I thought the pale yellow color of the blooms looked really nice with the colors in my outfit.
Today's song is "Bixby Canyon Bridge" by Death Cab For Cutie. This song is about a trip the lead singer, Ben Gibbard, took to visit Big Sur to try and retrace the steps of Jack Kerouac and get inspiration to write new songs. However, he didn't discover what he was looking for there. It's about disillusionment with the trip and life in general.
I wonder if there is a sale at Anthro today? Since I'm conveniently wide awake right now, I'm going to go check that out. Have a great night!

I really like this dress, it sold out in a heartbeat on the EU site but I noticed it is back today - I didn't check what sizes though. I hope there isn't too much damage when you venture outside!
ReplyDeleteI've been dipping in and out of the blogs the last few weeks - everytime I see new pictures on yours you look slimmer and slimmer!
Those shoes are so cute and add some fun spring time flair! Are they comfortable?
ReplyDeleteLoving the Pezza also, I wish I would have gotten that instead of the Spring Ready dress that I'm returning (yes, I think I'm the only person on earth that didn't like the Spring Ready on me).
Gorgeous pics as always!
This outfit is stunning. I love the whole thing! Your shrug over this dress is adorable. The shoes and necklace go perfectly and add interest. This outfit is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I agree that you are looking slimmer these days.
Gorgeous shoes...and WOW. Your rose trellis is insane! It goes on and on!
ReplyDeleteLoved u'r shows...perfect wid the outfit
ReplyDeleteLouise: Good to see you again lady! I had to size up to a medium in this. The small was a little tight in the bust area. Yes, I've lost quite a bit of weight. Thanks for noticing!
ReplyDeleteMegan: Yes, I think they are comfortable. The right shoes slides up and down on my heel sometimes, so I would say they run a little big.
Ady: Thanks! I'm glad you like it so much! Good to see you! It's been awhile.
Tracy: Thanks! Yes, the rose bush is so happy in that spot. Too bad it only blooms for 2 weeks out of the whole year.
Saji: Thank you!
The necklace looks beautiful on you--I have the same one, and you've inspired me to wear it in a double loop...so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour shoes are fab. So perfect for sprint!!
