A Vibrant Combo

"But my hands remember hers, rolling around the shaded ferns. Naked arms, her secrets still like songs I'd never learned." - Iron and Wine

The weekend is almost upon us. I'm really looking forward to Friday because I have a special photo shoot planned. It's suppose to be pretty cool tomorrow, so it's looking like I'm going to freeze in what I plan on wearing. It will be worth it to get some good photos, though. I can't wait to share the final product with you guys!

Today I'm wearing one of my favorite color combos - blue and yellow. I've had this cardigan and skirt for awhile now, but never thought about putting them together. I don't think I've ever worn these particular vibrant shades of blue and yellow together. I was inspired by an episode of Justified. There is a female character on that show who wears some great oufits. She had on this color combo in an episode I watched this weekend. I instantly racked my brain for something similar in my closet, and this is what I came up with. I couldn't decide exactly how to wear this cardigan. I started out the day with my Looping Lanes Belt on, but took it off a couple hours into the day. The rest of the day I wore the cardigan with only the middle 3 buttons buttoned, but when I got home and looked in the mirror, I decided that I liked it better buttoned all the way down. I guess you could say I was indecisive.

Today's song is "Passing Afternoon" by Iron and Wine. It was an Iron and Wine kind of day. I just listened to him at my desk and chilled. I like this meaning: "This song is about how our lives are so temporary (endless numbered days, sailing ships that pass, things we can't recall) and how we're scared as human beings that we don't remember everything and that everything in our lives isn't permanent."

Since I will be doing my photo shoot tomorrow afternoon, I'm not sure if I will blog or not. I plan on wearing something warm to work and changing into my photo shoot outfit later, so if I can get somebody at work to take my work outfit pictures, I will post that outfit tomorrow night. I always feel weird asking my co-workers to take my picture, so we'll see what happens. Have a good night!
