"And if you feel just like a tourist in the city you were born then it's time to go and define your destination there's so many different places to call home." - Death Cab For Cutie
On Friday afternoon, I had the pleasure of doing another photoshoot with my friends from alamode photography. If you remember, they did my photos last month for my guest post on Effortless Anthropologie. I was so excited to work with them again! They had the idea of taking photos at an old gas station. They had an old 50's style station in the city in mind, but I suggested a different location. I had seen some photos another photographer friend of mine had taken at an old, abandoned gas station in the country. I thought it would be the perfect backdrop for my new Esmeralda Dress. I sent them the picture my friend had taken and they agreed that it would be a great location. It was a cool, overcast afternoon when we made the drive deep into the back country roads to our destination. We had a blast taking pictures. They even got me to step out of my comfort zone for a few photos. I was spinning around and even gave them a cheesy grin. Gasp! LOL! Of course, I didn't post those photos in this post, but if you click on one of these photos it will take you to my Flickr account where you can see some of the more "out of my zone" photos. I have another shoot in the works with alamode next month to celebrate my 1 year blogging anniversary. I'm really excited about what we have planned!
Today's song is "You Are a Tourist" by Death Cab For Cutie. This is a brand new song that was just released today by my favorite band. I was hooked on this song after only 1 listen. I love it! I've been on cloud nine all night. My husband asked me what it was about and I said, "Heart Burn." LOL! Since it's so new, is not on Grooveshark yet, so I've included a You Tube video.
I took outfit pictures today, but I will post them tomorrow instead. I hope you enjoy the photos from alamode as much as I enjoyed taking them. Be sure to check out their website for even more beautiful photos. Have a great night!

ReplyDeleteWOW!! Best blogger pictures on the web! So, so beautiful - I love this gas station location - I'd be taking a lot of photos there if it was in my area. The fourth picture of you, leaning against the gas pump - should be sent directly to Anthropologie, for their next catalog! :o) I love how all the colours in the old pump/building are reflected in this dress (which I never looked twice at, until now...) Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love the third picture up from the bottom. So gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely Bonnie, good job :)
ReplyDeleteStunning gorgeous pictures! I always love the mood you set in your pics. You remind me of "Bonnie" Parker waiting for Clyde Barrow to come and take her away. :-D Love them all-well done!

Simply stunning once again. Not only are your pictures always beautiful, but I think you are probably the most consistent anthro blogger out there. I know I can always rely on your blog for some new outfits if not every night almost every night. Thank you for that!
