"I'm miles from where you are. I lay down on the cold ground. I pray that something picks me up and sets me down in your warm arms." - Snow Patrol
As luck would have it, our heater decided to break, so we have no heat tonight. I'm wrapped up with 4 blankets in my bed typing this. My hands are so cold, and I can't feel my nose! Someone is suppose to come out and fix it tomorrow, so let's hope that he is able to get it fixed. I don't think I can take another night in this cold house. It's like 20 degrees outside, and it feels that cold in here. We went out to eat tonight so we could get warm. I still don't have my appetite back, so I just kinda picked at my food. I guess one postive aspect of anxiety is losing weight. I've lost 5 pounds since all this started. Of course, I kinda need those pounds tonight! LOL!
So, I'm wearing my Southward Stop Dress today. Everytime I put on this dress, I'm reminded of how much I love it. It's just so comfortable, and the print is so cute! This time I put a cardigan from Old Navy over it. I wore my purple tights with it again but with boots this time instead of heels. I love my Bonbon hat. I just feel so vintage when I wear it, and it's so warm and cozy.
I had to take my pictures in a different spot in the house today. We have 2 floor heaters running where I usually take them. The lighting is not as good, but it's not like its great in the other spot either. I think you can see the outfit good enough, although, my tights don't really look purple. Trust me, they are very purple - Barney purple. LOL!
The song of the day is "Set The Fire To The Third Bar" by Snow Patrol featuring Martha Wainwright. Since I'm so cold, I wanted to listen to a song about fire and warmth. This one came to mind. I just love this song. It's one of my favorites from this band. This song is about two people in love who are separated by a great distance and are thinking of one another. Great lyrics in this one and haunting vocals.

That is such a wonderful song, it gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. I dug out my really old MP3 player a few weeks ago and hooked it up to our stereo, it has lots of Snow Patrol on. When this song came on I just stopped what I was doing to listen to it. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou look much more chipper today Bonnie! Have a good weekend :)

I love how you styled that dress, and the colored tights are so cute! Also, just have to say, so glad you featured Snow Patrol - definitely one of my favorite bands! Still trying to convince the BF that we MUST go to Rio de Janeiro to hear them! :)
