Float On By Butterfly

It's another rainy weekend. Once again, the weather did not cooperate with me, but I was bound and determined to take some photos outside, so by golly, I did! I drug my husband out, umbrella and towel in tow, to my dad's farm to get some shots with this old boat. He was not happy about it! LOL! Poor guy! At least it's not as cold! It's practically balmy outside with temps in the 40's rather then the 20's we've been experiencing.

Today's dress is from Ruche. I saw this little dress online, and even though the length was way shorter than what I normally wear, I had to get it because I just love the print! It is short, but I think it works with tights and boots. It came with a elastic belt that matches the print on the dress, but I took that off and used a corset belt from Urban Outfitters instead.

The white on the ground is not snow, but leftover cotton from the field. I wish it would snow so we would have something pretty to look at instead of all this rain. If all this rain keeps up, I just might need this old boat! I hoping for better weather tomorrow! Have a good day!

  1. With the butterflies and umbrella, it could pass for spring there!
It just snowed for the first time today here. Yay!

  2. Bonnie, your dress is lovely and the butterflies are adorable. We haven't got rain here at all in Raleigh today - we got about 5 minutes of hail, 5 minutes of snow, then nothing after that! Here's hoping for better weather soon. Do you usually get more snow than we do here overall? (hope not)

    Have a good weekend

  4. Love it with the sweater! I don't think it's too short with the tights and boots. It's really cute. One thing I've done to add length is wear a slip underneath that has a lace ruffle at the bottom. Anthro has one in stock now. I might order that dress and am usually an 8 w/ 36C in most brands (I think we're prob around the same size???). What size did you get?

  6. Ady: Snow! So jealous!

Heidi: Thanks! I think you guys usually get more snow than us.

    Elizabeth: Aww, thanks!

St. Germain: Thanks for the slip suggestion. I got a medium. Looks like they are sold out in medium right now. The medium just fits me, so you could probably try a large. It might work.
