Field of Pines

“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I will meet you there.” - Rumi

I came across this quote today, and it really spoke to me. We get so stressed out in everyday life about whether we are doing the right things or not. It's good to have a place to go to quiet our minds and just be. Mine is this field of pine trees. It is so quiet and peaceful out there. I love to just walk around, listen to the sounds of nature, and clear my mind.

I have a idea for the blog that I'm really excited about. Details coming tomorrow...

  2. You have such an eye for knowing what will look beautiful in a photo. And the landscape around you (in ALL your pictures) is just breathtaking. You and your pines and old cars and old boats and cotton gins and cotton fields need to be in a catalog. Really. Just amazing images of you and the world.

  5. Hi

Been reading your blog regularly and really love the way you blend nature into your photos. You live in a really nice picturesque place! And I like that you do not stick to one standard way of dressing like many Anthro bloggers.

However, I have to be frank that I do not find this combination good. It kind of made your torso look so short, and add pounds. Perhaps if you do away with a different top, or change to booties/heels, it will shine.

  6. Peggy: Thanks! I can't wait to share!

St Germain: Aww! Thanks so much for the kind words! It means alot!

    Ady: I'm excited too! Thanks!

Sherry: Thanks! I really thought this dress would shine in this pine tree field!

Miin: Thanks for your honesty. Problem is, this is a dress, so I can't really change much about it. I could leave out the belt, but I feel it looks imcomplete without it. I will try heels with it next time. I understand why you think it makes my torso look short. It is a high-waisted style, so that's always the danger with those. Also, I'm not the skinniest girl on the block, so it doesn't take much to add pounds! LOL! I appreciate your opinion, but I'm happy with it, so that's really what counts the most.

  7. I really love the bright skirt on this dress, Bonnie. And photographing it in the forest really allows the vibrant colors to stand out. I haven't tried this dress yet because it just feels a tad out of my comfort zone -- but it's growing on me every day. And it really seems to suit your bohemian style perfectly.

I also think it would look darling with the belt over the cardigan -- just my two cents : )

  10. You know, I tried this dress on and didn't buy it b/c of the short torso effect as Miin mentioned. I, like you, have some serious boobage and I think that is part of the issue. But you know what? It's a fantastic dress and you look fantastic in it. Your body is beautiful and I actually like the longish way the vibrant skirt looks on you, esp with the tall boots. I like the belt, too. I have this dress in on my wishlist waiting for a markdown and am going to snag it even though the top is the same on me. Who cares! You still look hot. :)
