OOTD: Shirred Neck Tee

I'm so ready to get this work day over with! I'm getting my hair colored and cut tonight, and I plan on getting a different color, so I'm excited about the prospects. I don't plan on going way different. I just want a little more red tone to my hair to compliment my green eyes. I hope it turns out good, and I don't look like Ronald McDonald or something! LOL!

I decided not to wear one of my new purchases from Anthro today, because I didn't want to risk getting hair color on it. Instead, I went with a pretty burgandy top from The Limited. I love this little top! It works for now and will transition well into Fall with a jacket or cardigan over it. The neckline is so pretty! I got a size medium, and it fits great. It is sheer, so it requires a cami underneath. I wore a nude color one under mine. My head band is also from The Limited. I like that the flowers are small, so it doesn't look like I have a growth sticking off my head like some of the flowered headbands that are out there.

I got my Frye boots, and I am in love! I will try to take pics tonight. The only thing that bothers me is that they are really hard to get on! My foot gets stuck at the ankle part, and I have to pull really hard to get my foot all the way down. Once on, though, they feel great! I'm hoping this will get better as I wear them. My Urban Outfitters boots are still on backorder, so I just went ahead and cancelled the order because now that I have the Frye's, my mind is made up. I'm going to keep the Steve Madden's too since they were such a great price and have a different look than the Frye's. These are the Frye's I got for $250 (they are $350 most places):

And here is my outfit of the day:

Top: The Limited Shirred Neck Top ($35)

Pants: The Limited Cassidy Flares - Similar here.

Shoes: Pink Studio Bonnie Peep Toe Pumps ($88)

Bracelet: The Limited Natural Drops Bracelet ($26)

Head Band: The Limited Mini Rose Headband($14)

  1. Yay for pants! :) I love that top too...and since you're getting red tones, it won't really stain! I can't wait to see your hair.

  3. I am obsessed with that Frye boot and plan on buying a piar this year. I have a pair of paige boots from last year and they will break in very well.

  4. You're right -- the neckline on that top is gorgeous. Good luck at the salon this evening. It's always nerve-wracking to change one's hair, but it sounds like you have a beautiful new style planned.

  9. Those are the boots I've been wanting to get but haven't gotten to try them on yet! Did you find them true to size? I know you said that you had a hard time getting it past your ankle. I have a high arch and wondered if I might have that problem...but not being able to fully put them on! Is that the color you bought? How did you get them so cheap?
