"This cocoon...deep, cold November shines through, soft and absolute." - The Decemberists
When I saw this outfit in one of Ruche's lookbooks a couple of months ago, I knew I had to have it. I've become quite the Aztec print whore lately, and this comfy, pumpkin-hued cocoon cardigan just screamed Fall to me. While I was at it, I went ahead and threw some accessories into my shopping bag to complete the look. The result is that I'm all wrapped up in Ruche today and lovin' it.
Speaking of wrapped up...have any of you moms ever noticed that the dialogue that goes on at kid's football games can get pretty disturbing sometimes? I mean, you've got your usual "way too intense over a 12 year old's football game" type of people, and then you've got...something else. There is this one older gentlemen in particular that has been at all of my son's footballs games who constantly yells, "Wrap it up, boys!" "Wrap that ball up!" "You gotta wrap it up, boys!" Meanwhile, there's usually a dude or two on the other side of me yelling such pleasantries as, "Plug up the holes!" and "Pound it in, boys!" I swear, it sounds like a porno movie is going on rather than a football game most of the time.
I can't complain, though. It does provide me with some much needed entertainment at what are usually pretty boring football games, considering my son plays like a total of 2 whole minutes. Yes, at age 12 we can't give equal playing time because we're too busy wrapping, plugging, and pounding our way to a win. Oh well, I should probably "wrap it up" myself and save this rant for another day. What I mean to say is, "It's Friday, bitches!"
