"It's the trip, keeps us alive." - Still Corners

I've fallen pretty comfortably into an once a week posting pattern here lately. I hope it's working for you guys, because it's definitely working for me. I have no idea how I found the time to blog everyday "back in the day." It seems unfathomable now. Life is so busy, busy, busy!

These pants were one of the few things that caught my eye in Anthropologie's November catalog. I loved the whole outfit, so I did my best to recreate it here, minus the hat. I really want that hat, but I just couldn't justify spending that much money on a hat that I will probably wear only a handful of times.

I just happened to wear these pants on a day where I had to meet up with my ex to conduct some "kid business." I don't think he noticed my pants when I first sat down because he told me I looked nice. I'm thinking it was the pristine, white sweater that caught his fancy. However, when I got up to leave, he said, "Wow, those are some...interesting...pants."

Coming from someone I didn't know, I might have been offended, but coming from him, I felt pretty satisfied. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate him or anything. We get along just fine. It's just, his style is super put together and preppy, and I prefer a more thrown together, bohemian sort of style. Now, I'm thinking I should go ahead and get that hat and really go full on hippy for the holidays. It could certainly liven up all those dreaded holiday pickups and drop offs of the kids.
