Anthropologie Fitting Room Reviews

Plaited Brushstrokes Skirt ($88). The colors in this skirt are what attracted me to it. I especially love the coral color. This is a size 6 and the fit was great. I love the fullness of this skirt. I was twirling around for the SA's. They could really tell I loved it. LOL! Wishlisted.

Lace Henley Blouse ($88). I grabbed a small in this pretty little blouse. It fit great, and I loved the details. I wanted it, but I think it's too pricey for what it is, especially considering it is pratically see through. Wishlisted for sale.

Chartreuse Shoots Dress ($168). I wasn't sure about the color of this dress, but I decided to try it on because I love the shape so much. This is a size 6, and it fit great. This dress wasn't half bad, but I couldn't get past the chartreuse green. The color just didn't do anything for me. Pass.

Summer-Grown Dress ($138). I was really excited to try this dress on. I love the print and the sheer panels at the top. I was very disappointed once I got it on. Maybe it was because the store didn't have my size, so I had to try on a size 8. The size 8 was clearly too big on me. I had too much room everywhere. Maybe in a size 6 this dress would look totally different, but in a size 8, it didn't impress. Pass.

No name dress ($138). I saw this dress as soon as I walked through the doors. It was love at first sight. I absolutely love the blue color in the background on this print. It reminds me of a robin egg. This is a size 6, and it fit so good. The straps were the perfect length, there was no gaping under the arms, and the waist fit perfectly. I really, really wanted to bring this dress home with me, but I don't have the money for it right now. Added to the top of my wishlist.

Tippi Dress ($268). I had requests to review this dress several months ago, but I could never find one in a store. Well, look who decided to finally show up in my store. Better late than never, right? I love the print on this dress. Anything with birds on it is okay in my book. I grabbed a size 6, but the fit was not great. It just felt like I had too much room in this dress. Maybe a size 4 would have been a better fit. I didn't try a 4 because this dress is way out of my price range. Once it goes on sale, I might reconsider it. Pass for now.

IMAG0400

Cuentos Del Mar Tunic ($49.95). This is an odd little top, and I was skeptical going in. I mean it's a tent top with huge pockets on the side, but I thought once I got it on it could be really casual chic. No such luck. It was ridiculously huge on me and did nothing for my figure. Pass.

Go For Baroque Peasant ($78) and L'aventure Shorts ($58). I expected great things from this blouse. It's such a pretty print, and I love a good peasant blouse. I was so disappointed with it. I tried a size small, and thought it fit good, it just seemed really matronly on me. Pass. On the other hand, I loved these shorts. I tried a size 6, and the fit was perfect. They are made from a very soft cotton and are oh so comfy. I hope to purchase these one day when I have the money. Wishlisted.

  1. Thanks -- I always enjoy your reviews! It's hard living hours away from the nearest Anthro.

  2. I love the NO Name Dress on you! I love the floral print, and robin blue color! (i am bias here cos one of my sons is called Robin!) But I don't really like spaghetti straps dress, cos i got to look for a strapless bra for it!

  5. Aaah the no name dress must be what Kim's personal shopper in Chicago was wearing an her Anthro event with the striped blazer. I really like it!

I also really like the Tippi dress, don't think that's hit the EU site yet and it passed me by on the US site - I am guessing it's named after Tippi Hedren seeing as it has black birds all over it, clever!

  11. The no name dress is online now - verdant slip dress - and I'm almost positive it's the exact cut and fit as the reflecting pool dress and sangatte slip dress (I tried this one and the verdant slip dress on in-store and couldn't discern a difference..). The Verdant slip dress was gone from my anthro almost as soon as it hit the shelves..so if you want it grab it fast - it's even prettier in person!
