Happy first day of Spring! It was a weird weather day today. It was cold this morning, warm during the middle of the day, and cold again this afternoon. I spent most of the day indoors doing housework. We ventured out late this afternoon for a photo shoot at my dad's big barn.

As I suspected the loft in the barn wasn't lit very well. My dad came by while we were there. There was a set of doors higher up in the loft that were wired shut. I tried to convince my husband to get them open so we would have more light, but he wouldn't do it. Then I tried to sweet talk my dad, but he wouldn't do it either. Darn men! If I hadn't of had heels on, I would have climbed up there and done it myself. So, we did the best we could with the flash. My camera is unpredictable at best when using the flash. You never know when it is going to take the picture. Sometimes it's not at all. After only a few pictures, the battery light came on, so we quickly ran outside and got as many as we could out there. I will definitely be coming back to the loft for photos once I get my new camera. It is freaking awesome up there! It's huge and the wood beams are beautiful. I'm wearing the Calderbrook Blouse with a shrug and Pilcro jeans. I thought this lace top would fit in with the antique feel of this old barn.

Today's song is "Don't Carry It All" by The Decemberists. I couldn't find this song on Grooveshark, so I've included a You Tube link instead. This is off their newest album "The King is Dead." This album was recorded in a barn, so I thought a song from this album was appropriate for today's post.

It's back to work tomorrow. I have another busy week ahead of me, but I've got a few new things from Anthro and The Limited to wear this week, so that should make it all better. I look forward to sharing my new purchases with you. Have a great night!
