Big Sky

"Take my hand, knot your fingers through mine and we'll walk through this dark room for the last time." - Snow Patrol

Well, we finally made it to the weekend. This week flew by for me, probably because I was so busy at work. I still have a mountain of work to do, and I was given requests for 5 new reports today, so it looks like next week is going to be another busy one. I'm thinking about making a trip to Durham tomorrow. I have some reward money for The Limited burning a hole in my pocket, and since I'll be in the area, it can't hurt to swing by Anthro.

Not shopping as much has forced me to be more clever in dressing myself in the morning. I haven't worn the Lacey Lanes Tank since it was warm outside. It's such a pretty piece, it's a shame it has been so long since I have worn it, so I made my best attempt to Winterize it by putting a shrug over it. I could have put a cardigan over it, but I didn't want to cover up all that pretty lace. These jeans are almost falling off of me. These are the jeans that I usually wear when I'm at my lower weight. As I type this, I'm drinking a large chocolate milk shake. I absolutely cannot lose any more weight or all my clothes will be too big for me. I know, I know...what a horrible problem. I kinda miss my booty, though. LOL!

My husband didn't have to work today, so we were able to take some outside pictures when I got home. It was sleeting when we took these, so needless to say, I was freezing. I love the sound of sleet on the window. There is something so comforting about it. I feel all warm and cozy inside when I know it's so cold and miserable outside. As I was looking through these pictures admiring the big, beautiful sky, I was struck by how much land there is behind me. It's hard to believe it will be mine one day. What on earth am I going to do with it? I'm absolutely not selling it. This land has been in my family for over 100 years. Hopefully, I won't have to deal with it anytime soon. My dad's in his sixties, so I hope he has many years left.

Today's song is "Open Your Eyes" by Snow Patrol. I've been a fan of Snow Patrol for awhile now, even before they got all popular for having their music on Grey's Anatomy. This is one of my favorites from them.

Well, hopefully, I'll have some reviews coming for you soon. Have a great night!

  2. Love the shrug instead of the cardigan..it would be a shame to cover up all that gorgeous detailing! Hope you have a good trip in to the city if you go...I've done charge sends from the Durhan Anthro before and the staff there is so amazing!
