1 Day, 2 Outfits

It's been a busy holiday weekend! I cooked an entire turkey meal on Thursday. It was really good, but after eating leftovers for a couple of days, I have to say I am tired of turkey! I had to work on Friday, and I spent all day yesterday putting up Christmas decorations. It really is an adventure decorating a Christmas tree with 3 kids! They only managed to break 4 ornaments in the process.

Today, I spent all day cleaning while my husband got up the enormous amount of leaves that have accumulating in our yard. The kids enjoyed playing in the big piles. My husband even blew a big pile under the slide so they could slide into it.

I wore 2 different outfits today. One while I was outside with the kids and another to go to the grocery store. Both incorporated the same pants and jacket, but the 2 looks are very different. The first look is more me, where the second look is more something my husband likes me to wear. He said nothing about the first outfit, but before I left to go to the grocery store in the second one, he said, "You look nice." LOL! I know him so well. It's not that I don't like the second outfit. I just totally felt that I looked the part of "mom of 3", where I felt more hip and myself in the first outfit.

Did any of you guys go shopping this weekend? I prefer to do all my Christmas shopping online. I don't do well in crowds. I'm going crazy not being able to buy anything until January, but I know it will be so worth it! I got the necklace from Forever 21 that I bought to go with my Christmas party outfit. It's perfect! The party is on Thursday, so I can't wait to see the whole look come together! Have a great night!

  1. How fun that you were able to get your Christmas decorations up so quickly! And you're absolutely right -- these outfits look very different despite incorporating the same pants and jacket. I think you look great in both, but the first outfit does feel more "Bonnie." Hope the week goes well for you. I am SO dreading going back to work.

  2. You look like a stylish woman in both outfits!!

We were suppose to get our tree today but ended up getting sidetracked, so hopefully the tree gets picked tomorrow. We probably will decorate it later in the week. I hate doing lights. I prefer to hang ornaments :) Youre tree looks great and your kids are cute!

  3. Bonnie your children are so adorable. I love the drum kit tee one of your boys is wearing. You just don't look old enough to have three children, you must be one of the youngest, best dressed Mums in the playground!

  4. How cute are your kids Bonnie!
I like your first outfit better too. Men don't get it sometimes :-) I find they tend to go nuts for simple style...which is why i hardly step out of my comfort zone hehehe.
