OOTD: Birthday Butterflies

A dress I won on Ebay arrived in the mail yesterday, just in time for my birthday! It is a Maeve dress from Anthropologie. I'm not sure how old this dress is, but I don't recall seeing it at Anthro over the last few years, so I think it is pretty old. Heck, as far as I know, it may have never been sold at Anthro, I'm just going by the ebay seller's description. However, the Maeve tag is still on it. It doesn't matter to me, though, I saw the butterfly print on this dress, and I just had to have it! I love anything with butterflies on it! I knew it would look great with the Looping Lanes belt and my booties. It is 100% silk, so I was afraid it would wrinkle, but half way into the day, there is not a wrinkle in sight! It is so comfortable, and it has big, deep pockets that are just so cute! I put a cami under it and a cardi over it for work. I just love it when a plan comes together!

  2. Happy Birthday Bonnie! And what a great birthday treat to have this dress arrive. You look so sweet in it :) And *ha* at the A-Team reference.

(Oh and since you were wondering about the name -- it is called the Migration Dress and it came out in early Spring 2008! I have it too and it is one of my favorite dresses 'cause of the pockets :) )

  3. Thanks Cat and Annie! I really loved this look too. It felt like "me".

goldenmeans: Thank you so much for letting me know the name and date of this dress! You never know if what you get on ebay is the real deal or not. Nice to know mine is authentic! Good catch on the A-Team reference. I loved the A-Team growing up, so I just had to throw that in there.
