Ode to Sunshine

"The sun's got my shine. The sun's got my pride. I could run but I'd never live without your light." - Delta Spirit

Well, the weekend is coming to a close. It's been a beautiful spring-like weekend with lots of sunshine. The cold temperatures are suppose to return tomorrow. It's been a good day. I got all my cleaning done and had a good time watching basketball and hanging out with the kids. I haven't watched basketball all season, because it upsets me too much. I just didn't need the stress in my life. Since today was the tournament game, I decided it was worth the stress to watch. I'm glad I did. My team won! My little girl is such a mess. She came running into the living room while I was watching the game and screamed "Chick Cannonball" and jumped on me. LOL! I think she didn't like the fact that mommy was watching basketball and not paying attention to her.

Today's photo shoot went really good. I had so many good pictures. I wasn't sure where we were going when we got in the truck. We road around for a little while until we came upon the abandoned house down the road. It had daffodils blooming around it! Perfect! I'm wearing the Spring-Ready Dress. It was warm enough to wear sandals with this dress today, but I decided I didn't want to blind yall with my white legs, so I wore boots. LOL! My sister texted me a little while ago and told me my dad has some daffodils blooming near the pine tree farm. So, it looks like you are going to have even more daffodil photos coming your way. I just can't get enough of them!

Today's song is "Ode to Sunshine" by Delta Spirit. I thought this song was appropriate given all the sunshine we've had this weekend. I love this band! You should really check them out if you haven't heard them before.

It's back to the grinding stone tomorrow. I've convinced the hubby to let me take a trip to Durham this week since I have returns to make at several stores. I'm planning a trip Wednesday afternoon. Oh, and tomorrow I have a hair appointment to finally get rid of these awful grey roots. I can't wait! Have a great night!

  2. Aw you're making me sad wearing that dress :( I found out today that they cancelled my order because apparently their online inventory wasn't accurate. I'll call CS tomorrow to see if any stores have it in stock.

As always, you look lovely! The daffodils are beautiful. Ours have pushed through the ground but not bloomed yet. I can't wait for spring to be official! What a perfectly named dress to wear on such a gorgeous day :)
